Ian's April Newsletter 2026

Over Easter, a good friend of mine suggested that it would be wonderful if a Bush Essence offering peace and compassion could be used by people throughout the world. While certainly agreeing, I also thought of the incredible number of people experiencing anxiety and depression along with feeling squeezed financially at this current difficult economic time. There are Bush Essences that can help address all of these concerns; however, the real challenge lies in raising awareness about them and ensuring they reach the people who need them. The good news is that there are many Essences to address these topics and so many people are already taking advantage of them. The more people who feel calm, happy, and balanced through working with the Essences, the more this positive state will naturally ripple out to those around them. As the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said ‘The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.'



I will discuss some pertinent Essences that address all the issues mentioned above, starting with the current financial crisis many people are experiencing.

A dear friend of mine and the Bush Essences, Karen Santamouris, has been working in retail and promoting the Bush Essences in Australian and the UK for decades. 
She often shares a story about visiting health food stores in the UK, where owners or
staff express concerns about financial struggles and the state of the economy. Her first question is always, “Are you taking the Abund Essence?” If the answer is no, she follows up with, “Why not?” She then begins to encourage them to try it by sharing numerous testimonials from other health food stores who were in a similar situation and who experienced very positive results after using Abund Essence, “Ian, the results with Abund Essence are spectacular” Karen loves to tell me. 

I’ve just been told that the price of petrol in the UK is now £3.50 per litre so I think Abund Essence should definitely be taken by the populus there. Why does Abund Essence work so well?  Let’s look at the single Essence that comprise it.



Firstly, Sunshine Wattle - this is a powerful remedy for those who remain stoic and keep pushing forward, even while expecting a bleak future and struggling to feel optimistic about what lies ahead. Unfortunately, what you focus on you tend to manifest. This Essence opens a person to a brighter future. As their thoughts and expectations become more positive, they attract greater lifeforce to flow through them, creating a state of balance in which abundance and wellbeing can flow more easily. 



Southern Cross also creates greater positivity and enhances an individual’s personal power. This Essence helps transforms those with a victim mentality, or poverty consciousness, who often complain, guiding them to realise that while we can’t always control what happens to us, we can control how we respond to any situation. In Numerology, if someone is missing the numbers 4, 5 and 6 in their birthdate, it is referred to as having the Arrow of Frustration. One of their most common phrases, especially when young, is ‘It’s not fair, why me?’. These people often experience more challenges than most, but the Southern Cross Essence helps them to look for - and find - the silver lining in every dark cloud they encounter.  If you recognise this pattern in children, you can start working early with the Southern Cross and it will prevent them growing up feeling bitter and negative. Of course, anyone who is quite positive will not want to hang out with them, so they will attract others who are also negative which will only reinforce their negative mindset.

 
What was your parent’s attitude to money? If there was a great sense of scarcity or a struggle to achieve financial wellbeing, then you may have taken on those same beliefs. This is why Boab is included in the Abund Essence as it clears the negative family patterns and beliefs that are passed down from generation to generation.

When I am working with a patient, in the very first consultation I always check if they have subconscious sabotage to not only the reason they are consulting with me, but also to a number of other important areas - such as loving and accepting themselves; looking after their own needs; being able to take their time; being glad they are alive and financial abundance. Obviously, on a conscious level, everyone wants these things, but unfortunately, quite often there can be sabotage in the subconscious which is not aligned with the conscious goal. This will lead to them being unable to achieve what they want. No matter how hard they work on their goal, a subconscious sabotage will stop them achieving it. Five Corners is the Essence I have used on literally thousands of people to clear subconscious sabotage and it is achieved after only two weeks of taking this Essence. The proviso is that the person is aware of what the sabotage is. I muscle test for the sabotage, but it’s very apparent if someone is struggling financially, that they are likely to have sabotage in this area. These sabotages are usually established from when the individual is in the womb up unto the first three years of their life. Unfortunately these beliefs, once formed, can drastically impact on a person’s life for decades. As a very young child under three years, were you constantly hearing statements from your parents such as ‘you have to work really hard to make money’ or ‘there’s never enough money’. These powerful statements can set up beliefs in the subconscious which can impact you for the rest of your life. 



With some of my patients who are really struggling financially, deeper delving revealed some of these sabotages can be carried over from past lives. One recurring pattern was people who had taken vows of poverty on entering a religious or spiritual order. This life, though they weren’t in any such order, but on a sub-conscious level there was a belief that you couldn’t be both wealthy and spiritual. Even in the Bible, there is an inference that it will be harder for a wealthy person to get to heaven than a poor person.

The reason Five Corners can so effectively clear these negative sub-conscious sabotages is, that on a very deep level, the person doesn’t believe they are good enough or worthy enough to deserve having their goals fulfilled. Five Corners fills a person with a strong sense of self-worth and self-love. 



Philotheca is included in the Abund combination for people who find it much easier to give rather than receive.



Christmas Bell assists one with mastery of the physical plane and with stewardship of one’s possessions. It also helps one to manifest one’s desired outcome and is extremely beneficial for anyone experiencing a sense of lack. Back in 2020, in response to Covid and all the great concern, worry and especially the fear and negativity being promoted by the media, we released Boost Essence. Certainly, there is a lot of similarity between all the negative economic and political news that we are now being constantly bombarded with and what was happening during Covid. High levels of public fear and negativity breed further fear and negativity. Fringed Violet was chosen in the Boost Essence to help provide that psychic protection and buffer from the media-fuelled hysteria and the great level of anxiety being experienced by so many people as a direct consequence. Both these two Essences can certainly be considered for what’s happening now.



If you find yourself, or someone close to you, who because of all the external noise and pressure around them that we have discussed, are unable to relax, wind down or enjoy relaxing pursuits, then Calm & Clear Essence would be recommended. This Essence creates internal peace, right down to your core.

Of course, we can also think of Emergency Essence for anyone who is in a very upset or agitated state and there are currently many people like this. This wonderful Essence offers immediate calm, courage, comfort and reassurance in the most challenging of moments.
