A 40-Year Journey Through the Bush Essences: The 2010s

A Decade of New Possibilities

The 2010s brought new developments for the Australian Bush Flower Essences, with the introduction of new remedies, product collections and educational programs that made the Bush Essences more accessible than ever before.

From Organic Skincare and hand-blown glass Pendants to online learning and the completion of the Divine Presence Essence range, the decade reflected Ian's continued exploration of the many ways people could experience and work with the Bush Essences.

It was also a period of transition, as new technology changed the way knowledge was shared and the international Bush Essence community continued to develop.

New Ways to Experience the Essences
In 2011, the Bush Essences of the Sydney Region DVD was released, showcasing the native flowers growing in the region where Ian first began his work with the Bush Essences. That same year, the Therapeutic Creams and Space Mists received refreshed packaging.

In 2012, the Animal Correspondence Course was introduced, providing specialised education for those wishing to work with the Bush Essences to support animal wellbeing.

The Love System Certified Organic Skincare Collection was also launched, bringing the Bush Essences into a new range of natural skincare products. This was the first skincare range in the world to contain Flower Essences.

A significant development came in 2013 with the introduction of Online Workshops. Building on the correspondence courses and face-to-face training already established, this created a new opportunity for students around the world to study the Bush Essences remotely.

Exploring New Dimensions
In 2014, the Bush Essence Pendant Collection was introduced. Each individually hand-blown glass pendant contained Bush Essences at stock strength, offering a unique way to wear and work with the Bush Essences throughout the day.

This period also saw the continued development of the Divine Presence Essence range, reflecting Ian's exploration of the spiritual and energetic qualities of nature.

Isis Essence was released in 2014, followed by Solar Logos Essence in 2015 and Gaia Essence in 2016. The range was completed in 2017 with the introduction of Rainbow Essence.

This period also marked the end of a much-loved chapter in the history of Australian Bush Flower Essences. For 28 years, The Essence newsletter had been an important way for Ian to share his experiences, teachings, new discoveries and stories from the Australian bush with the growing Bush Essence community.

In September 2016, the final printed edition was published before the newsletter transitioned to a digital format in 2017. Although the format had changed, its purpose remained the same: to share knowledge, encourage a deeper understanding of the flowers and maintain the connection with the community that had grown around the Bush Essences.

A Global Community
By the latter part of the decade, the Australian Bush Flower Essences had established an extensive international network of practitioners, educators and distributors.

Workshops and educational programs continued to play an important role in bringing people together, with the introduction of online learning making it easier for students in different parts of the world to participate.
The continued dedication of practitioners and teachers helped introduce the Bush Essences to new audiences, while the experiences and knowledge shared within this community remained an important part of the work.

Looking Towards a New Decade
By the end of the 2010s, the Australian Bush Flower Essences had entered a new era. The decade had brought a broader range of products, new Spiritual Essences and greater access to education through digital learning.

These developments built upon more than 30 years of Ian's work with the Australian native flowers, laying the foundations for the next chapter in the Bush Essence journey.
While much had changed since the early days, the inspiration behind the work remained firmly rooted in the Australian bush and guidance from Spirit.
