Electro Essence

Thank you for giving us your feedback on our packaging. We have been actively trying to convert all of our logistics based outputs to more environmentally sustainable products with the end goal being to eliminate plastics from the supply chain. One aspect of this has been how to package our bottled products effectively for transit so as to prevent breakage. We trialed corrugated cardboard and recycled die-cut Kraft paper for a while and found breakage was too commonplace. So we have converted the pp bubblewrap to a new bubble wrap product called P10 Oxo-BEcoBubble. This product is treated with ‘Reverte’ Oxo-biodegradable prodegradant additive and is made from naturally occurring cellulosic based materials. This will mean the wrap will degrade and breakdown with the aid of UV light, oxygen and or heat and then be subject to ingestion by micro-organisms within the rubbish heap. It will finally biodegrade into CO2 and H2O making this bubblewrap the most environmentally friendly bubblewrap product available in Australia. Other changes have been to use starch based chip fill. We have also converted to recycled jiffy padded satchels. Whilst our current operational practices are not perfect we are endeavouring to take steps in the right direction. We are continuing to test various other packaging types and are striving to eventually eliminate plastics one day in the future. Grant Parker General Manager
