Differences between Courses
If you are interested in learning more about the Australian Bush Flower Essences the best general introductory courses are Level 1 and the Introductory Course, which was previously College Course (16 hour Part 1).
Briefly, the difference between Level 1 and the Introductory Course is that the latter is an introduction to all 69 Bush Essences, whereas Level 1 is an in depth study of 25 Essences.
The Introductory Course looks at the Essences from a vibrational medicine perspective, with the Essences classified within the framework of the seven chakras. The themes relevant to each of these energy centres are discussed from a mental, emotional and spiritual perspective, and linked to their corresponding Essences. Interactive case histories are offered for student consideration.
Level 1 addresses the themes most people will initially be dealing with when they start taking the Essences, either personally or with / as a practitioner. These include digestion, learning, the effect of childhood experiences, coping with crisis, fear, mother and father issues, hormonal health, discovering your constitutional remedy, creativity, self esteem, energetic protection, and family patterning. Extensive information is included on Ian White’s experience when making up the Essences, complete with a stunning Powerpoint presentation of many images of each flower, and the locale in which it grows. There are a number of interactive activities in which to participate to help students to experience the Essences. Case history examples are offered to illustrate the experiences of people who have taken particular essences. There is also an overview on case history taking and how to select the appropriate essence.
Both Level 1 and the Introductory Course discuss how to make up an essence, efficacy, safety, methods of application and combination essences. There is the opportunity for case history discussion by students in class.
The Practitioner Skills Course (previously Part 2 of the College Course) includes detailed information on essence selection, case history taking, client evaluation, people skills and naturopathic skills. Vibrational medicine, and the role of flower essences within this, are studied in greater depth. More case histories are offered for students to analyse and to select appropriate remedies for.
